Course description
This is a child passenger safety overview class suitable for all UC Davis Health RNs, OTs, and PTs working with newborns, infants, and children in the hospital or clinic setting. Topics include California car seat laws, selecting and securing children in car seats, fitting spica cast patients in car seats, and UC Davis Health car seat program and policies.
Attire
Dress comfortably, scrubs not required.
C.E. contact hours
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 3.42 contact hours.
Buckle Up to Grow is a UC Davis Health-approved course for 3.5 hours of continuing education credit for PTs in California. (Approval #: UCDH2024-03-20E). UC Davis Health is designated by the Physical Therapy Board of California as a continuing competency approval agency.
Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 5 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.
Registration
UC Davis Health employees
$25 registration deposit. Registration deposit is returned upon completion of class. Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive deposit refund. Please register through UC Learning Center and call our office at 916-734-9790 with your deposit by credit card.
Registrations are approved only after your deposit is provided.
Community registrants
This class is only open to UC Davis Health employees.

Parking
Parking is available in parking structure 4, lots 12, 17, 18, Broadway or EDD with either a B permit or daily permit. Daily permits are available for purchase with the ParkMobile app using zone number 42201. Please visit Parking and Transportation Services for more information.
