Course description
This presentation will provide an introduction of BMT as it relates to nursing care. There will be an introduction on the overview of hematopoiesis. We will examine the various types of transplants, and indications for a transplant. There will be a discussion of treatment and preparation regimens that are available for patients as well as discussion of the side effects of treatments. This course will give attendees a broader understanding BMT and how to care for patients and their families.
Virtual session requirements
Follow the virtual participation guidelines, including being on camera, engaging in activities, and attesting to participation.
C.E. contact hours
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 1.5 contact hours.
Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 5 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.
Registration
UC Davis Health employees
$25 registration deposit. Registration deposit is returned upon completion of class. Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive deposit refund. Please register through UC Learning Center and call our office at 916-734-9790 with your deposit by credit card.
Registrations are approved only after your deposit is provided.
Community registrants
$25 registration fee. Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive a full refund. A $25 service fee will be charged after this date.
