Program Goal One:

Graduates are competent for entry-level practice as registered dietitian nutritionists.

Objective 1.1 - 90% of interns complete the internship program within 75 weeks (18 months) from beginning the program (150% of scheduled program length), measured over a seven-year period.

Objective 1.2 - 80% of graduates will secure employment in nutrition and dietetics or related fields within 12 months of graduation, measured over a seven-year period.

Objective 1.3 - When surveyed, 80% of employers of UCDMC DI graduates rate the graduate as at least “satisfactory” or above (3.0 on a five-point scale) in standards of practice in nutrition care, measured over a seven-year period.

Objective 1.4 - 90% of graduates take the CDR credentialing examination for dietitian nutritionists within 12 months of completing the internship, measured over a seven-year period.

Objective 1.5 - At least 80% of graduates over a five-year period pass the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists within one year following first attempt.

Objective 1.6 - 80% of graduates will pass the Registration Examination for Dietitians on the first attempt, measured over five-year intervals.

 

Program Goal Two:

Graduates demonstrate standards of professional performance, a commitment to the dietetics profession, and service to the Sacramento Valley Area community.

Objective 2.1 - When surveyed, 80% of graduates will report they participated in professional development activities within one year of graduation, measured over a seven-year period.

Objective 2.2 - When surveyed, employers of UCDMC DI graduates rate the graduate as at least  “satisfactory” or above (average 3.0 on five-point scale) in standards of professional performance, measured over a seven-year period.

Objective 2.3 - When surveyed, 25% of graduates are employed as nutrition professionals in the Sacramento Valley area, measured over a seven-year period.

Objective 2.4 - When surveyed, 25% of graduates will report they are active members of a dietetics-related professional organization, measured over a seven-year period.
