Philosophy of Care

I strive to offer maximally aggressive, minimally invasive critical care that is focused on meeting your life goals and personal beliefs. Critical illness is a challenging time for patients and their families that is full of uncertainty. It is truly an honor to work collaboratively with patients, families, specialists, nurses and ancillary staff to develop a patient-centered plan of care that seeks to educate patients and their loved ones to minimize that uncertainty and help families heal.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Branting is an adult critical care and emergency medicine physician offering compassionate, comprehensive care to patients in multiple ICUs and departments in the hospital. He has a special clinical interest in end of life care as well as extracorporeal life support.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Branting is interested in resuscitation science, airway management of the critically ill patient, transport medicine, resident/fellow education and team/human-factors studies.
