Philosophy of Care

Dr. Hussan is invested in helping patients reach a better quality of life by applying the most recent evidence-based medicine and the highest level of empathy in patient-centered value-based care.

Clinical Interests

As a general gastroenterologist, Dr. Hussan focuses on improving various gastrointestinal symptoms. Dr. Hussan's particular interests focus on colorectal cancer prevention in adults with or without a predisposition to inherited colorectal cancer. Another area of expertise for Dr. Hussan is improving the gastrointestinal health of adults with obesity or prior bariatric surgery.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Hussan main research investigates the interface of energy balance and nutrition, the colonic microbiome and metabolome and impact on colorectal cancer risk. Dr. Hussan's other research is focused on improving colorectal cancer screening using artificial intelligence.
