The division of pediatric cardiology evaluates and treats infants, children, and young adults with congenital and acquired heart disease, drawing on extensive resources, the latest in medical technology, and experts in cardiac surgery.
Our pediatric cardiologists provide care to children with congenital and acquired heart disease at the UC Davis Pediatric Heart Center, a family-centered environment. We collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of pediatric cardiologists, heart surgeons, critical care physicians, anesthesiologists, and nurses — all committed to outstanding patient outcomes for children with complex heart diseases.
Our pediatric cardiology faculty members also treat patients for heart disease throughout Northern California at our outreach clinics, which allow children in outlying areas to receive a consultation and evaluation without having to travel to Sacramento.
Research is a critical component to our care at the Pediatric Heart Center. Our faculty are actively involved in clinical trials and research involving new devices, catheters, delivery systems, techniques and procedures — all focused on improving the care for infants and pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart diseases.
Our faculty members are committed to creating a positive learning environment and are actively involved in educational activities with undergraduate students, UC Davis medical students, visiting students, pediatric residents and outreach primary care physicians.
Our pediatric cardiology faculty members see patients in the Sacramento area at the Glassrock Building on the campus of UC Davis Health and at the UC Davis Health clinics in Roseville and Auburn. We also schedule and hold monthly outreach clinics in Redding, Chico, Stockton and Marysville.
We provide a range of diagnostic, consultative, interventional and surgical treatments, including:
