Bio:
Hana Camarillo is a board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist. She is a certified diabetes care and education specialist.  Hana began her pharmacy career as a pharmacy clerk at Kaiser Permanente, which sparked her interest in the profession.  At the Pacific University School of Pharmacy, Hana was awarded the Mylan Pharmaceuticals Excellence in Pharmacy Award in 2013.  She went on to complete a PGY1 Managed Care Pharmacy Practice Residency at Kaiser Permanente.  Thereafter, she practiced for six years at Kaiser Permanente as an ambulatory care pharmacist, gaining invaluable experience as diabetes care manager within a robust population health model.  She served as a primary preceptor for the following disease states: type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.  She also gained experience working as an osteoporosis pharmacist to support the health system’s secondary fracture prevention measures.  In October 2019, Hana joined UCD Health to implement a new endocrinology specialty pharmacy program.  The endocrinology specialty pharmacy program has expanded to three clinics: adult endocrinology, pediatric endocrinology, and the Spine Center.
