Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Grandi's research aims at understanding the molecular, cellular, and tissue-level mechanisms of complex cardiovascular diseases, such as heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and hypertension. This is achieved by developing biophysically detailed, mechanistic computational models, based on bioengineering principles. These frameworks serve as platforms for accurate prediction of disease mechanism, and testing of pharmacological interventions to guide therapeutic strategies.
