|Tele-Ophthalmology Launched at UC Davis Midtown Clinic — A new tele-ophthalmology program in Sacramento aims to improve early screening for diabetic retinopathy, the leading cause of vision loss among working-age adults. Faculty collaborator Glenn Yiu has partnered with the Primary Care Network to launch the innovative program.|
|Telehealth Director Accepted into Health Care Leadership Program — Center for Health and Technology Director James Marcin, M.D., is one of 32 clinical leaders who have been accepted into the California Health Care Foundation's two-year Health Care Leadership Program.|
|Tele-Behavioral Health for American Indians Affected by Mental Illness (Tele-AIMI) Grant — Our team has been awarded a three-year grant for a research study that will evaluate the impact of adult and pediatric tele-behavioral health consultations on patient-centered outcomes.|
- SEARCH2018 Telehealth Research Symposium — Our telehealth team, led by James Marcin, M.D., is attending the symposium from Oct. 24-25, 2018 in La Jolla, California to promote connected health programs through the use of evidence-based research.
- American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference — James Marcin, M.D., is presenting at the conference on Nov. 4, 2018 in Orlando, Florida. He'll be discussing telehealth in the general pediatrician's and specialist's office, and how to develop telehealth programs.
- American Heart Association Scientific Sessions — James Marcin, M.D., is presenting at the conference on Nov. 10, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois. He'll be discussing telehealth's impact on the delivery of pediatric cardiovascular care.
