Philosophy of Care: I pride myself on providing compassionate care for both my patients and their family members. Critical care patients are extremely complex and the favorite part of my job is to bridge the gap of understanding between care team and patients/family members. It can be very scary to be in the ICU and we don’t often take the time to explain what the care team is doing for the patient and why. I enjoy learning about my patients’ lives prior to their injury or illness so that I can best provide them care that aligns with their goals and quality of life. Working in the ICU allows me to be a part of a tremendous team of physicians, nurses, technicians, respiratory therapists, APPs, social workers and many more.
