Presently, 75% of Dr. Craig Senders' practice is pediatrics.  This ranges from treatment of otitis media with effusion to airway disorders requiring complex reconstructive surgeries.  Many of these pediatric patients have congenital anomalies of the head and neck, mostly consisting of cleft lip and cleft palate.  Dr. Senders also has an interest in adults with airway and sinus problems which range from sinusitis to snoring, to patients with obstructive sleep apnea.

Dr. Senders is an expert in pediatric otolaryngology; cleft lip and cleft palate, endoscopic sinus surgery, and surgery for sleep apnea.  Dr. Senders is the Director of the University of California, Davis Cleft and Craniofacial Program.

Research Focus

Dr. Senders' research has focused in two areas:
The development and treatment of facial birth defects such as, cleft lip and cleft palate.
The development and treatment of subglottic stenosis (narrowing of the airway at the voice box).
