Join UC Davis Health this spring to celebrate the joy of bicycling. May is Bike Month is a free, friendly competition that is all about encouraging more people to ride. All are welcome to participate– whether you are an avid bike commuter or if it's been a while since you've been on a bike.
2024 marks the 20th anniversary of May is Bike Month in the Sacramento region, and UC Davis Health employees are excited to be a part of this tradition in our community. Explore how sustainable travel choices can benefit our environment and community. Just one short bike ride will reduce your stress, increase your energy levels and make you happier! Plus, it can make the Sacramento Region cleaner, greener, safer, and more livable.
Log your miles, win prizes
Once you have registered, start logging your miles! Earn points for every mile and every trip you log. Ride to work, to the store, or anywhere you choose! Even a 10-minute bike ride around the park will count. You can log rides automatically through the Love to Ride app, or log your rides manually on the app or website. If you forget to log a trip, you can go back to add trips from previous days until the end of May.
Help UC Davis Health win 1st place in the region
Join UC Davis Health as we compete against other workplaces across the Sacramento region, like Sutter, Kaiser, state departments, and more! Last year, we won first place in the region, and we need your help to defend our title.
You can also compete against your colleagues by starting a team for your department. Every trip and every mile counts towards winning the top spot in the region.
