Overview
Our transfusion services are accredited by the Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies (AABB) and support UC Davis’ highly complex patient care needs as the only level 1 trauma center for both adult and pediatric emergencies in inland Northern California, as an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, and as nationally-ranked programs in surgery, pediatrics and adult medicine.

Our hospital receives blood and blood components from the American Red Cross (ARC). We are regulated by FDA, AABB, CAP, CDPH and the Joint Commission. We are accredited by AABB and CAP.
