Philosophy of Care

My philosophy of care is to treat all patients with respect, to utilize my clinical training to provide excellent clinical care, and to continue to educate myself so that I can provide the most current standard of care.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Patel is a neuropathologist, which is a diagnostician that specializes in the diseases of the nervous system affecting children and adults. His clinical interests include all aspects of conditions that affect the nervous system. His research interests focus on the metabolomics of neurodegenerative diseases with a particular focus on Alzheimer disease.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Patel's academic interests include teaching to medical students, residents, and members of the community. He has research interests in all aspects of neuropathology, but his primary research focuses on the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases using a metabolomic approach to elucidate the pathologic changes that lead to Alzheimer disease.
