The Friday afternoon workshop will be a comprehensive review of Upper & Lower Extremities and Truncal Nerve Blocks. This 3-hour ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia workshop focuses on hands-on scanning and needling practice.

Additional fee and registration required. The American Society of Anesthesiology designates this live activity for a maximum of 3.5 AMA PRA Category I Credits™ 

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
Evaluate the evidence that supports the use of regional anesthesia.
Develop a strategy to utilize regional anesthesia in daily practice.

The Saturday afternoon workshop will be a comprehensive review of POCUS workshop including Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE), Lung, Gastric and Abdominal Ultrasound.  

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
List the indications for performing a focused cardiac ultrasound examination
Describe the optimal machine settings, probe selection, probe orientation, patient positioning and probe placement necessary for successfully performing a lung ultrasound examination.
