Resident Research

The goal of the resident research curriculum is to ensure residents graduate with applied knowledge of evidence-based scientific investigation and/or systems-based quality improvement.  By the completion of residency, we expect all residents to present a scholarly project at our annual scholarly symposium and to write up their work for publication in an appropriate medical journal or create a health system standard operating procedure. Residents have access to their resident research co-Directors (Dr Melissa Chen and Anne Flynn (Quality Improvement)), statistical support, clinical research coordinators, and opportunities for funding. These resources are available to all residents to ensure success during their resident research project.
